LGA Architectural Partners is a Toronto-based studio of architects, interior designers, and building scientists with over three decades of experience in creating sustainable, socially-responsible architecture.

Established in 1989, LGA is known for designing spaces that are joyful, inventive, and grounded in community context. The studio blends rigorous research with creative design to craft buildings that respond to both the physical and social landscapes in which they exist.

LGA’s work spans a diverse range of typologies from multi-unit housing and civic buildings to adaptive reuse and education projects. Their human-centric approach seeks to address complex challenges through architecture that promotes inclusivity, environmental stewardship, and cultural relevance.

LGA has helped shape Toronto’s urban fabric through projects that pioneer “gentle density” solutions, such as transforming single-family homes into multiplexes. Their leadership in adaptive reuse reflects a deep respect for place, memory, and embodied carbon, turning overlooked structures into community assets.

Notable milestones include the design of Ontario’s first institutional CLT (cross-laminated timber) building and one of the province’s first non-institutional LEED Gold-certified projects. Through envelope renewal, inclusive design, and deep collaboration with Indigenous communities, LGA continues to advance an architectural practice rooted in care, reciprocity, and innovation.
