The Broadview Hotel

The Broadview Hotel

The Broadview Hotel is a 58-room boutique hotel set inside a restored 1891 Romanesque Revival building at the corner of Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue. Once a commercial hub and later a boarding house, the property underwent a full restoration in 2017, preserving its signature red brick façade, corner turret, and arched windows while introducing contemporary interiors.

Inside, the hotel offers multiple dining and event spaces. The Civic, its main-floor restaurant, serves seasonal menus in a setting of exposed brick and brass accents. The Café + Bar on the ground level is a daytime spot for coffee and pastries that transitions to cocktails in the evening. The Rooftop, with indoor and outdoor seating, delivers panoramic views of the Toronto skyline and Don Valley, and remains an all-season draw thanks to retractable glass walls.

The Broadview Hotel is also known for hosting live music nights, art exhibitions, and private events, which has helped make it a cultural anchor for the Riverside neighborhood. Rooms range from compact, design-forward spaces to larger suites, many featuring custom millwork and large windows that reflect the building’s historic proportions.

With its blend of preserved heritage and modern amenities, The Broadview Hotel functions as both a neighborhood landmark and a versatile destination. Visitors come to stay overnight, meet friends for dinner, or watch the city shift from sunset to skyline sparkle from one of Toronto’s most scenic rooftops.
